I was born in Munich in 1976. In the beginning I had studied to be a kindergarten teacher and I had worked in this profession for six years. During this time painting had become my hobby that I really enjoyed doing. Years later I was diagnosed with a condition called frozen shoulder. After a year of struggling, I met a holistic osteopath, dr. Uta Scheven, who encouraged me to live my life where I can fully express my creativity and passion. She asked me to paint something for her. So I started and shortly my arm got better, and I started to exhibit my paintings in dr. Scheven´s praxis. This experience brought me back to the source of art and art with children.
Between 2015 and 2018 I lived in Udaipur, India. The impressions and experiences during this time have shaped me a lot. Wall paintings, children’s workshops, interior design of houses, schools – I was able to live out my passion for art in a wide range. Today I live in Switzerland, in a completely different culture. Every corner of the world has beauties that should be on screen.
For my work I mainly use acrylic and oil, which I apply with a spatula and mixed techniques on canvas as well as on cardboard or glass substrates. The focus of the works are often the element of fire, water, earth, air and light, which I combine into energetic, powerful color compositions.
